My Background

I’m Amos Kimiti 👋. I’m interested in technology 💻 and engineering 🛠, and I’m building this site to practice semantic HTML, CSS, responsive design, forms, and accessibility.

I am a Mechatronics Engineering graduate transitioning into frontend development, combining a strong analytical and systems-thinking background with modern web technologies. My focus is on building responsive, user-friendly interfaces with clean, maintainable code.

I approach development with an engineering mindset—breaking down problems, designing structured solutions, and optimizing for performance and usability.

Skills

  • HTML fundamentals and semantic structure
  • Basic CSS layout and styling
  • Responsive design practice
  • Git and GitHub workflow

My Journey

My background in Mechatronics Engineering exposed me to mechanical systems, electronics, and control systems, where precision and structured problem-solving are critical.

Through this, I developed a strong interest in software and user-facing systems, which led me to web development. I started with HTML and CSS, then progressed into JavaScript and dynamic interfaces.

I am currently focused on building real-world projects, improving my frontend skills, and expanding into APIs and backend development to become a well-rounded full-stack developer.
